Cooking, gas and Sweden.
The temporary office, Chalmers University, Gothenburg, Sweden, European Union
March 8th 2007, 12:55

So, apparently there are almost no gas cookers in apartments in the great nation of Sweden. This forces people to use electric cookers, which are one of the most evil things of this world. Their crappy speed and horrible inertia make me sick. If I ever become dictator of the world, they will be banned. The only silver lining in this horrible matter is that it gives me an extra reason to buy one of these nice, shiny induction cookers, which are even better than gas. Oh, and since I am so nice and considerate, I will point out, dear readers, that there is a link to get a feed (on the right side, below the archive links). That might be useful, as the updates have been quite irregular (but I promise to improve that).

Swedish shops, clerks and laundry.
The temporary office, Chalmers University, Gothenburg, Sweden, European Union

The great thing about Swedish shops is that the clerks are very nice and welcome you with a "Hej !" and a smile.
The absolutely horrible thing about Swedish shops is that they only sell Ariel refills. I could not find one of these fantastic magic balls that help you nicely spread the power of the washing liquid. You have to order it by phone or on the Internet. So I had to choose between powder (and yes you have to order the measuring cup on the Internet) and a liquid product from a brand that I had never seen on television (and the included ball was not as nifty as the Ariel one). The evil side of powder was too strong, and I bought the liquid model. I am extremely unhappy.

Blue spheres, yellow pyramids and red squares.
The Red Square, Moscow, Russia, July 1st 2006, 20:43

My lack of inspiration is... Well I cannot even find words to describe it, but I really wanted to write an entry on the Red Square. Yes, I know this is a cheap trick, especially when used often. Then again, since I am the supreme master of this blog (hail me !), I can do whatever I want. I can also declare this entry the most inspired and funny thing ever written on the Red Square.

Girls, money and beggars.
Nevski Prospekt, Saint-Petersburg, Russia, June 26th 2006, 23:38

I was asked for money by girls (neither prostitutes or homeless) on the street. It is the second time this happens in Saint-Petersburg. In the West, only junkies and beggars do that. I do not know what to think of that.

Saint-Petersburg evenings.

Along the Neva, next to the Dvortcoviy bridge, Saint-Petersburg, Russia, June 26th 2006, 22:51

There is something fascinating, almost hypnotic about summer evenings in Saint-Petersburg. The neverending daylight gives a feeling of peace. One feels so relaxed strolling alongside the Neva.

The one where it all began.

In the train between Delft and Schiphol (The Netherlands, EU),January 13th 2006, 05:19

I have been putting off starting this blog for way too long now, so I may as well start with a very dull message (do not look for entertainment, correct language or illogic in this message: it is barely past five in the morning and I am already awake).

So, since this is the first message, it should contain some sort of a description of the future content of this blog (and the word platypus).

(1) This is just a repository from silly messages from my crazy mind, not the description of the life of any of the following: Kirsten dunst, Brad Pitt, Miles (a fire hydrant), John (a very friendly platypus) or me.

(b) Most posts will be in English, but some may be in French, Dutch, or any language I may learn some day. The reasons for this choice are the following.

(blue) The location and time at the top of each message correspond to the moment at which it has started (on paper, computer or any support). Or not.

(Taco Bell) Comments, critics are all welcome. They may even improve the (non-existent) quality of this blog. This rule has one exception: none of my multiple personalities qualify.

Since I am the Creator of this blog, I may change the rules at any time (such power ! This is quite intoxicating: I am overwhelmed and must stop this message before I
